The Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty (UPSMFAC), situated in Lucknow, is an autonomous statutory authority established by the British India Government under Section 3 of the Indian Medical Degrees Act, 1916 (VII of 1916) on November 15, 1926.

For a century, the Faculty has served as the apex regulatory and examining body for Western Medical Sciences, Nursing Education, Paramedical disciplines, and Allied Healthcare diplomas across the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Core Statutory Responsibilities

Affiliating and inspecting government and private paramedical and nursing institutions.
Conducting state-level centralized entrance examinations (CAHSP - Combined Allied and Healthcare Selection Process).
Prescribing minimum standard requirements (MSR) and clinical training guidelines for diploma courses.
Administering continuous practical and theoretical assessments, issuing marks cards, diplomas, and state registration credentials.
Executing Mission Niramaya quality benchmarking in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI).
